The Strouss-Hirschberg Co. was the region's leading department store, with its flagship location downtown featuring eight stories of city shopping. Its Thanksgiving Parades and Christmas displays each year brought families from all over, its lunch counter served chocolate malts that locals still crave. But in 1986, Strouss' disappeared. Now, as a virtual department store offering the finest local products from the Youngstown region, we have reimagined Strouss', once again providing Youngstown with a store of its own.
